Are you afraid of being alone? There are many ways to view that question. Some people automatically go to the romantic version of it – the “no love ever” type of alone. Some go to having to live alone with no one there for protection – the “I’m afraid for my life of living alone” thing. Which way did you “hear” it? Today’s Daily Quote is from Justin Timberlake, the American singer and actor. He was born on January 31, 1981. He said the following:
The best part about being alone is that you really don’t have to answer to anybody. You do what you want.
Did that quote surprise you? Were you expecting some dark and dreary, “to die…alone…in the rain” type quote? Until you make peace with the fact that you are alone, your fears will continue to rule you and continue to make you afraid of being alone. Until you find happiness in your current situation, you will continue to remain in the exact same situation. Nothing will change until YOU change. If you want love, stop focusing on how lonely you are and how empty your world is right now. If you want to feel safe when living alone, install an alarm system, get a roommate, take a self defense course or something. Please remember how important the word “action” is in our growth. Taking some kind of action usually makes human beings feel much better.
For today, let’s look at our own hearts closely. Is there any place in there where you see that you are afraid of being alone? Ask yourself why? Now, let’s take it one step further.
