Gratitude List: Day One – A

Post image for Gratitude List: Day One – A

Today I am starting something new. I am going to go through the alphabet doing a daily Gratitude List. I would love for you to play along!

Today’s letter is A. I am truly grateful for apples. I really love them. I prefer Granny Smith apples as they are so tart and yummy. I’ll eat a Macintosh apple as well though. I think they’re one of the best, and sweetest, fruits that I have available to me. That first bite into an apple is, somehow, so rewarding.

When I was a kid, my Momma was very strict with how much sugar we got and that we got healthy snacks. Now I am truly grateful to her. Back then, I wanted more sugar!! So, to me, as a child, apples felt like cheating. They were so sweet, crunchy and yummy.

Do you like apples? Are they are on your Gratitude List? I’d love to hear your “A” for the day in comments.

I am a new resident in the state of Tennessee so today I’m grateful for Alabama, my only home for 54 years. She is amazing Alabama, filled with natural beauty, singing mountains, magnificent trees and sacred mysteries. Home of my children and grandchildren and many dear friends.

Elizabeth,
What a great idea this is. I haven’t been to your website in a while, and I am glad I saw this! I love.it. In fact, I am inspired to create a Gratitude Journal. I am taking a lot of mixed media classes, as I love art and books, so this is a perfect topic. When I begin working on my terribly neglected blog, I would love to mention the idea and add a link to your website if you don’t mind.

And I am grateful for ALABAMA; Birmingham, specifically . I have been away for 10 years, and I wish I could go home.

GRATITUDE–A is ALABAMA
Thank you Elizabeth for a wonderful idea!
Stephanie
